"Mort means 'death' in French." Cade says to Lara. "That's why I named the demon that." She gasps. 

All Cade wanted was to leave the town and live again, see his family again, same with Lara. But there was no way out of the prison that was the town they were stuck in. Alone. Dead. Scared. Wondering if they'll make it until morning.

When you hear the music, you know he's coming. 
When you hear the footsteps, you say your goodbyes. 
When you hear the voice, you're dead.
