Book four of the "Heirs of the Fallen" series:

It's been three years since the battle of Shili and the war rages on. The New Republic has seen a rebound, gaining the trust of more and more planets and making more alliances thanks to the skills of its recruiting officers. 

Leia has been promoted to Counselor of the New Republic and is no longer a general. Luke has begun to find other Force sensitives varying in age, and with Leena's help has started training a small group to become Jedi and possibly form an order of its own. Kira has continued to be a Sith assassin and has spent these last few years adding casualties to her list. 

Everything is going smoothly for all, until a shocking murder ties them together in ways no one could expect.

Being the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, she knew Leia's father well (at least, before he became a tyrant). Ahsoka talked all night with Luke and Leia, telling them tales of the Clone Wars, with Commander Rex joining in to show his admiration of his lost general. What if they could go back and stop the Empire from ever happening? What if they could stop their father from decending into the dark side? What if they could prevent the destruction of the Jedi? What if they could stop the Emperor before he even started? Minor spoilers for Clone Wars, Rebels and possibly Mandalorian. I say minor because it's mostly just easter eggs here and there and the rest you're smart enough to figure out on your own. And if I owned Star Wars or the cover art for this fic, you would know about it.

ITS AN AU!! -vader's suit is simply just armour, not a life support.. since in this story he did not burn back on mustafar. -padmé is indeed a force sensitive in this story, that's how they have this connection. she may have less than anakin and obi-wan but she still obtains the power. -spelling may be a problem but it'll be checked once it's officially done

But the darkness of the Empress and Kirma cast shadows over the growing light in the galaxy. Will Luke, Leia, Kira, and Leena be able to extinguish these shadows and the people who cast them, or will the shadows extinguish them?
