Desperately Human

Astounded by the hollow grandeur of a world defined by ambition and deceit, a middle-aged man, Triumph Elwood, seeks to escape the terrestrial shackles of his past-his career at a secretive space research organization, his personal losses, and the betrayal of those he trusted. Embarking on a journey unbound by human constructs, he ventures into the wilderness, yearning to shed the illusions of success that once consumed him. At the outset, he believes he has severed ties with earthly fantasies, finding solace in the forest's unyielding simplicity. Yet, as his path intertwines with a decades-old murder mystery involving a lost friend, a dangerous element called Aschetos, and a conspiracy that threatens lives, Triumph emerges more human than ever-driven by justice, compassion, and a need to atone. In the end, however, his creation, the Clara Foundation, intended to safeguard ethical science, unwittingly plants the seeds for something darker: a tool that others exploit, proving that even his noblest efforts can birth more harm than good in a world he cannot fully control.
