Daean is a world where water covers everything except this land named Fleur, a circular island that has everything the people need.

The 10 hectar school, which is located at the center, serves as the capital of the island. This school called Fleur Academy homes the 'Seven Mavens" or the royalties, and the Dean who has the authority over everything in this island.

Peace is reigning over this island. Eventhough the people have abilities and mega-instinct that help them avoid danger, they are destined to die to preserve their place called home. They don't increase in number or overpopulate because if a woman deliver a child, she will die, and if a man pregnant a woman for the second time, he will also face painless death. They just decrease. And here, in Fleur, no one dares to contradict their destiny.

The harmony and peace the people experience is believed to be the work of the 'Guardians'. No one has actually seen the Guardians but a legendary history book, which chooses its reader, proves they truly exist, and they are holding an 'Ace', a legendary ability that can protect the people from 'Aliens'. Only an ace can dealt damage to the Aliens. Yes, the people have abilities but it's not harmful.

It is also believed that the Guardians once lived in Fleur before they were chosen. They are the chosen ones, elders said that the Guardians were chosen because of their close to perfect characteristics. You could say that they are truly a One in a Billion.

Meanwhile, meet Alexandria Lennon. She is a member of the summit, which is under the leadership of the Seven Mavens. Her life back then was peaceful, just like the others, until those self proclaimed Guardians came knocking at her door insisting that she's been chosen to be like them! She even qouted their arrival as: the beginning of my eternal suffering.
