I never believed it would end like this. I was just watching Netflix when the power went out, then before I knew it everyone was screaming, then the school began to shake and fell to the ground. Only three kids in my entire school were spared, four if you count me. I found a group of people heading to the east coast for a boat trip to a supposed safe haven in India. They died of disease days later. I found their bodies by the river. But I guess this is my life now, surviving with a scared boy, a pair of twins and trying to make it to the next day.

When a zombie apocalypse hits the world on its National Thanksgiving, in less than 24 hours, villages, cities, towns, entire countries are wiped out. Gone away into the dust, to never be seen. Nah, they all emerge as mindless angry creatures that would destroy anything in it's path to get a drop of your blood. Zombies. Not just the regular zombies you see in TV. Not the slowpokes, dumb, crazied flesh-eating monsters. No, these zombies can see, smell, run, climb, they can imitate and God help us they understand and not simply imitate. What happens when these zombies begin to gain intelligence? Every living thing evolves and if it doesn't; it's not worthy of being called 'living'. So when the remaining of humanity remains unmoving, stagnant but the zombies keep growing in mass, intelligence, strength; living. Living on the bare minimum, working your back, seeing loved ones day every single day, hearing screams of help from all around you but knowing how you couldn't do anything. This is a world where surviving wasn't... surviving. Living hurts. This is a world where even horror die-hard fans would rather not be in. For you to live, you have to be insane. And thankfully for one of our characters, they've gone insane.

The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. That is all I can tell you for the moment Lexi, but know their are people waiting for your arrival, and we are waiting for you to end this suffering race." Hello, my name is Adam, and if you're reading this, then i have either succeeded or i am dead. 4 years ago, my middle school class went on a trip, and on our way back, we were interrupted by Hurricane Nathan, the hurricane responsible for the apocalypse. The hurricane didn't kill me, but it put me into a coma. I awoke 4 years later, and the world had changed. The world is ruled by guns and so are my friends and family, and the love of my life. I have to talk some sense into them but i'll have to survive long enough to meet them. This WILL be hard.

They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world??
