Giftless

Vanessa is giftless, born without magic, though she lives in a wielding community. For fifteen years, the Light and Dark Wielders have been at peace, until a man is murdered at the Treaty Ball. Amongst the chaos and confusion, Vanessa finds she does have a gift: she is no illusionist, no elemental, no enchanter. She is a vanquisher, with the ability to block and absorb magic.
