Young Emiko has suffered more than she could ask for. Her memories scarred and her childhood ruined. She had no one to turn to and eventually became shrouded in darkness. She was the child of Rido Kuran who had been abandoned and fell into the hands of Juri and Haruka Kuran. Knowing of her birth parents, Emiko was neglected and therefore was not able to experience the love any other child could have. The more Emiko grew, the more she died inside and knew she had to get away to be able to experience the things she wished for. At the age where Emiko is able to decide things for herself, she leaves the Kurans and heads under the wings of Kaien Cross, the Headmaster of Cross Academy, to start her life anew. There, she is confronted with her past once again.
Will she run from it again? Or will she be brave enough to face it?
