"Charlotte Kean, who prefers to be called Charlie, is lacking; lacking in sanity, trust, and ambition. "
Once upon a time when Charlie was 14, she was armed with her faded Marriam- Webster pocket dictionary, but now, that book has driven her to insanity. Charlie Kean is set on spending her life in solitude and isolation. She had an odd outlook on life which could only be reached through her dictionary. That little book was like a diary of dates; Charlie would just circle a word matching her mood and pen a date by it and voila! the entry was complete. But that book has gone out the window-literally- and Charlie's as distant as ever.
Five years and hundreds of meetings with her physiatrist later, Charlotte is confident enough to let go of her past. Luckily for her, she has plenty of support- family, new friends, and even some admirers- and is ready to finally embrace her life with an open mind.
