Tyler and the Desk Portal

A normal sixth grade boy, Tyler, finds himself on the first day of school in a lonely home room with an ancient, frightful teacher. Not having enough desks for her class, the teacher finds Tyler an old, unusual desk from the storeroom. Tyler discovers a hidden secret stuck to the desk which will transport him to a remarkable new world where dangerous, yet exciting adventures await him and his friends.
The main themes explored throughout the book are the importance of friendship and family, as well as the acceptance of others for who they are.
