A young boy, Todd, begins to hear an ominous voice in his head. Determined to prove the voice is real, Todd begins walking around with a digital recorder to pick up on the voice. However, only he can hear the voice even after its been captured on the recorder.  After months of therapy and taking anti psychotic drugs, which give him a multitude of negative effects, Todd decides to face his problem head on and continues to record and listen to the voice that tortures him. After his first week off of the drugs he begins to see manifestations of other peoples "inner demons." This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
