Lt. Sam Hale is just another kid drafted to fight a war against Equestria. But three years in the war and the humans are losing to the magic of ponies. Sam is now a Prisoner of War in the Ponyville internment camp. But when the main six volunteer to help the sick and wounded humans of the camp, Sam finds friendship outside the group of humans he is with. What will become of the 23 year old solider when the war ends and the racism of the ponies bare down on him.

Being transparent, this story is an MLP fanfic that started out as a pet project of mine, but I finished it a few days ago, and I felt it's finally time I share it. Sure, it starts out with typical "OC meets canon character" stuff, but it gets good, I swear! Seriously, this story gets quite insane by the end, and while I don't blame you if you don't read every single chapter... at least read the tenth chapters, because that's usually where it gets the most insane. I might even upload said tenth chapters before the others because... well, I'm going to be rewriting a lot of stuff, and I'm not gonna make you wait to get to the good parts. By the way, the story contains a lot of No More Heroes/Bayonetta influences, and some Devil May Cry ones earlier on. Also, please keep in mind that while I do try to write the characters canon to the show as accurately as I can, I try to write them with a bit more sincerity, as if they're people instead of cartoon ponies. Then again, take my attempt at a more realistic portrayal of the characters with a grain of salt. I'm still an amateur writer after all, so whether or not the characters do actually act like more realistic versions of the characters from the show is up to you to judge. All non-original characters, locations and concepts (eg, Fluttershy, Equestria, Elements of Harmony) belong to Hasbro.

Rose had everything a girl could wish for, she had a loving mom, and best friends who were always by her side and one thing she loved the most is horses. But it all came crashing down when her mom got in a car accident on her way to see her ride. *1 month later* She moves in with her dad who she hasn't seen in 10 years since he left when she was 7 years old and she's hated him ever since. When she gets there she wants nothing to do with him. Still hurting from her mom's accident and thinking it was her fault her mom ended up dying and now to go on top of that she has to live with the dad that abandoned her all those years ago. She also lost interest in riding horses, too until she meets the three most snobby, rich kids named Madison, Bonnie, and Lucy, who think they are better than everyone when it comes to riding horses, but Rose sure doesn't think she is. Rose thinks she can beat them, so Rose challenges her and tells her that she can beat her, so they make a deal, but the one think Rose didn't think of was that she stopped ridding because of her mom's accident and that means she has to get back on a horse. At first she doesn't think she can until a beautiful grayish white mustang comes to her dad's farm, who Rose names later as Stardust. Rose finally realizes that she can do this alone, she's going to need help from her father to help her get back on and also have help from the new cute boy, Austin who's helping for his community service. At first he doesn't want to be there, but eventually finds a reason to stay. Rose has had a good life up until the day of the accident, but now she's got to face loss, and heartbreak, but she's got to learn to get back in the race. This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not. I hope you try to read it and see that it's really good, and touching sorta. So just try to love it.*

Later on, the two teens develop secret feelings for each other and don't know how to tell each other how they feel. Will Barley and Gracie tell each other before it is too late?

It turns out that what Anthony was hiding all along, was that he was secretly a brony; who likes watching the kids cartoon My Little Pony. Ian freaks out with finding out about his secret, and attempts to break him out of it. But instead, the two of them end up being transported into the cartoon world of Equestria and meet the Mane Six. They are stuck there in their world, having to solve some sort of friendship problem and trying to find a way to go back home at the same time. ~⏪I drew the pony versions of Anthony & Ian in this book cover!⏩ --------------------------- This book is rated as "Mature" because there will be a little bit of cussing language in this, since this is the original Smosh.
