What if? What if Voldemort felt the Horcrux inside Harry? And when Voldemort summoned Harry to the Forest, he didn't kill him. That would be killing himself. He bound him, sent him to Malfoy Manor and made everyone think he is dead. Voldemort still lost the Battle, but he and a few Death Eaters escaped. Voldemort stopped his war effort and focused on figuring how to extract his soul out of Harry. He leaves Harry there to be tortured and abused by his Death Eaters. For months they torture and assault him, until Draco Malfoy comes down the steps and heals him. Harry doesn't trust him, until Draco tells him that they are bound together by a Life Debt. But Harry is breaking... and is determined to die, to destroy the last Horcrux. Can Draco save someone destined to die? Healing Draco Malfoy
Healer Potter gets a new patient in his specialized ward at St. Mungo's. He can heal injuries that no one else can and it's clear from the start that this patient is broken. Injuries and abuse dating years. He knows that he can help him and he is surprised when he discovers Draco Malfoy is his patient for the next three months. Harry has to heal his injuries from an apparent suicide attempt, but soon he realizes that it's deeper than that. Draco is fresh out of Azkaban and Harry knows that the guards must have viciously tortured him, but Draco isn't talking. He's set up to stay in the Mental Health ward permanently if Harry doesn't heal him physically and mentally. At the same time, Harry isn't the righteous force of anger and courage that he once was. He quit the Aurors and suffers from extreme social anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD attacks, though it's not from war. Harry has to deal with his problems, too, but maybe not alone anymore. Trigger warning - there are discussions about sexual assaults, associated terminology and abuse. There are many panic attacks and some sleeping, eating and drinking disorders. This is a story of recovery from severe emotional distress.Complete
