Prince Xander Black wasn't expecting war, but just a week after he and Scarlette became newlyweds, his parents hear the rumor that Prince Rayne was at the masquerade. They want their son to prove himself to them so they declare war. Xander, not wanting to go to war with his lover, finds himself torn between Scarlette and Vladmir.
Prince Vladmir Rayne begins having feelings for the lovely Layne when war is the declared. He says that he shall fight in his father's name, but he too fears what shall happen. Layne wants to be by his side, but Vlad fears what will happen to the girl who he now feels close to. The last war caused his father's death, but will he too meet the same fate?
This story is the sequel to In Your Eyes, I Saw Everything. If you haven't read that already, I highly suggest it. If not, it'll be a rough road for you.

This is very niche and a story that tackles topics that I personally like to engage with, regarding trauma and healing. If you are interested in more complex topics and you do enjoy reading about the human psyche, with a more mature tone, fitting it's time, then I am really happy to take you with me through the story. But for everyone else I am sorry if you started this book with different expectations just to be hit with mature themes and I would really ask for you to not comment how disappointed you are in the direction I take the story bc this is really a story I intended to tell even if it's not for you personally. My english isn't perfect, and I apologize for phrasing things in a very clumsy way sometimes and I appreciate any help to better my writing and criticism regarding my writing. Honestly I really want to tell a story in the most captivating way and every reader is much needed feedback.
