In 1944, the Allied High Command thought that they had the war won. They withdrew the heroes from Stalag 13 (arranging it so that neither Klink nor Schultz wouldn't be blamed), telling them they did a swell job. 

Then there came the surprise attack resulting in the Battle of the Bulge. Unable to send their experts back, the Allied High Command resorted to new people to take this spot. 

For it was time for a new cadre pf heroes to be a bane to the German War Machine...

Still under the noses of Klink and Schultz!
