Al-Majnoonah-literally, "the crazy woman" when translated from Arabic to English-- refers to the flowering vine of the bougainvillea, remarkable for its ability to flower prolifically in vivid shades of orange, vermillion, magenta and lavender. Its hardness allows it to withstand difficult climatic conditions, and its numerous sharp thorns protect it from external depredations. Al-Majnoonah, the literary approach to any and everything, is an attempt to capture the creative heartbeat, through a wide range of individual expression.
