Callie Day never really got out much. As a college student as well as a Starbucks employee, her schedule was pretty booked, and the time she did have was spent reading novels and watching late night TV. Her thoughts about hanging out with other groups of people were only wishful day dreams.

Mason Elliot was an accomplished business man just out of college, someone well known across town. He got out quite a bit often, but was always intrigued by someone he never quite knew - the girl who worked at the Starbucks downtown from 11-7 on weekdays that kept mostly to herself.
