Fear and superstition rule over the lives of those trapped in the great city of Hollowsgale. It's been a hundred years since the Invasion, and they are still caged like rats. A dangerous cult is growing. At its center is IT, the mechanical guardian of Hollowsgale.
After Jack witnesses a young girl being kidnapped by the cult, he is thrown into a tangled mess of events, leaving him with many questions. Are the Invaders still watching the city? Is Hollowsgale really as protected as it seems? What is the cult's real motive?

Sky grew up in an underground city. The whole city was in fear of a war happening, which is the reason for the life the people lived underground. The only way the people can breathe fresh oxygen is by a hole in a hidden room that leads up to the surface. The hole and the room are guarded by burly guards, and only people over the age of eighteen are allowed to leave the underground city to collect resources. Sky dislikes these arrangements, however. She wants to see the world with her own eyes before she reaches the age of eighteen. Her plan works, but a few minutes after she goes outside, she gets kidnapped.
