Maybe, the birth of this little girl, was why Rose knew she had to give up her physical form to create him? And maybe, the girl's mother was a close friend of Rose. Both served under the same Diamond, both talked about rebelling before Rose finally took that first step, but the other stayed behind to relay Intel. What if this was Pink Pearl, a very important part of the Rebellion. And Pink Diamond's very own Pearl. The very same Pearl who fell in love with an artist named Nick Nightwood about 5,300 years after the war.

This story is a Steven Universe fan fiction that wants to create an alternative point of view on the original show without changing the canon events. For that, I use big amounts of speculation to fill the gaps the show left when it ended. The action is presented in short chapters and is told almost entirely told from my original characters perspective, the one of gems, and some other alien races, curious about their existance, their origins, and their possibilities beyond serving their superiors. I do not own Steven universe. This story follows a girl who was taken by homeworld and worked on as an experiment. She was taken at a young age and turned into a half gem half human on accident. She stowed away on Peridot's ship to see the world she came from. She has grown some and changed alot since she had last been at her home, but she can't help but see a familiar face and fall in love with someone she just met when she comes back. She doesn't try to live in the past but she doesn't want to live without those who use to be in it.
