What if He was evil? What if there was indeed a benevolent ruler but ruled under tyranny and fear? Mankind has harnessed magical powers but it's still not enough to overthrow the Almighty. It's not like we haven't tried as a race to stand against our oppressors, but how many lives are unnecessarily wasted? We sense that the end is near and all mankind can do is cling to a fairytale. Sain is a young boy who also clings to the legend. But will he find that there's more to story than he realised, more to the legend...the legend of the Key.

Imagine, just for a second, let's imagine you end up somehow travelling into your favourite book. Then you started working your magic and you cosy up to the male lead who was supposed to get you killed or you make the demon lord fall in love with you so he can protect you from your imminent death. And woah you got your happy ending. But now let's imagine a completely different scenario where you end up in a book you read like 10 pages of (including the ending). And you find yourself literally dropped into the lap of a psychopathic rival who enjoys just a teeny bit of bloodshed. He's also the guy who killed your favourite character and not to mention you. But then you hold on for a second because you realise you're not dead and he wants to use you as an immortal tool to sharpen his aim. Well that's the story I ended up living in. He rides at the front of his army of adventurers, he defeats the villain and is hailed as the saviour. Credits roll, The End. But what if instead of the same story happening, we changed a few things? What if we started at the end and pushed through the ending? And what if...nothing is as it seems? Note: Later chapters deal with heavy topics of existential dread, dark tragedy and dealing with circumstances outside of main characters power.
