Just before I graduated high school, one of my last assignments was to write a poem and perform it in a mini-Poetry Slam. My writing teacher said to write about anything I know/care about. For a long time, I was stuck: every subject that came to mind was either too difficult to express in honest words, or it simply didn't hold my heart.

That was until Adam popped up.

My brother, Adam, became my subject for this piece. He has had a tough life; from a traumatic birth, discouraging doctor visits, and severe bullying to attending a great college, getting a cool batman tattoo and pursuing his dreams, Adam has become a walking success story.
As soon as I started thinking, my pen flew across the paper. I actually had to cut a few bits from the original since it took too long to perform.

Anyway- readers, most of you won't really get the significance of this piece, but that's okay. Just know that I wrote this with love, and I am glad you stumbled upon this.

Their Song Titles, My Poetry

149 parts Ongoing

Here are poems based on song titles of famous artists that I wrote. Each chapter will be the artist's name and each poem will have a handful of the titles to their biggest hits in them. Let me know what you think and how many of their songs you can find. Each of these artists are extremely talented and over the course of my life I have listened to their music. They go in no type of order.
