I was very bored and this idea popped into my head. A story of made-up moments that could've happened after the events of The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. This may actually not be a oneshot though. Just for some background knowledge, Midna decided to stay with Link instead of going into the Mirror of Twilight. These are just shenanigans that occur as they are living together in Ordon Village. I hope you enjoy!

In modern day Hyrule, Link is an orphan who lives in an orphanage. Because he is meant to be the Hero of Hyrule, his bunkmates get jealous and bully him for it. The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda.
