When you find yourself in the middle of the apocalypse in Atlanta, you almost give up on living when four survivors find you in the building you are staying in. And suddenly, you're not giving up on living just yet.

She stuck to the woods, hunting and living in them to survive, but little did she know, this small decision would sway her path in an unexpected way. By chance, she comes across a young girl in the woods, in trouble, injured and alone. Much like herself, the young girl was looking for someone, her mother and her group. Unwilling to leave the girl be, she decides to help the young girl find her family. Little did she know, this one decision would change everything... To trust a stranger and come together to survive, or brave it alone? To let others in, or save yourself from getting hurt? Y/n has a lot of choices ahead of her... And none of them will be easy. A/N: This is the updated version of FYD <3 Y/n L/n was your average college student before the world went to shit. She lived in Atlanta with her childhood friend, Glenn, and had never once left the city after she had moved there, apart from the occasional visit to see her Mother, whom was hospitalised in another state. However, the end of the world changed that, forcing her to leave the city and wander the highway. Permanently. When the city was overrun, she was separated from Glenn and forced to flee the city, which she hadn't left for years. With no idea where to go or what to do, she simply wandered down the highway. And though she may have been a city kid, she was far from useless. She was used to fighting for her life and she was used to being alone, so to say the very least, she could handle whatever the end of the world threw at her. Equipped with her trusted bow, Lucy, and her fathers vintage revolver, she was ready for anything. Dead or otherwise. A few months after the 'End', Y/n eventually came across a lost little girl, and a group of survivors hurled up on a farm. She never was a people person and never got along too well with others, but she couldn't just abandon the girl. Would she find a home in this group? Would they become family? Before the outbreak she was a cop just like her brother. After Rick got shot and ended up in a coma the world fell apart. The dead came back and started attacking the living. The military fell too quickly, the city was overrun by the dead and now she was at an old quarry only a few miles outside Atlanta with her Sister-In-Law, Nephew, and her brothers best friend. On the way they met a few more people and now had a small group. She slowly grows close the the youngest Dixon brother, Daryl. When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy.
