Layla Rea Merritt has had a terrible childhood sense she was four. Her dad left them for a striper when she was ten, and her mom became a drunk and abuser who came home with different men every other night; and left her alone for weeks on end. All she has to look forward to at 16is her three bestfriends Hazen, Cornena, and violet; and her job at "Paradise Café" of course. All she ever wanted was a better dad. Maybe things would have been different for her.

Anthony Storm is a werebear shifter. He moved to South Carolina from Scotland to get away from his past. But it seems his past has found him just as he has found his young mate ( we'll see just how young she is). He tries to keep his distance and watch from afar, but all that did was make her depressed.
