"I gave you everything. I gave you my heart, my soul, and I loved you the best I could. I'm not very experienced with the whole love thing, but I tried my best. And I thought my best would be good enough for you, but I guess not." Lafayette snarled through devastated tears, the comforting kindness in his eyes had vanished, leaving only anger. "You told me you were fine waiting for me. You told me that you'd wait as long as you needed to because the fact that it was going to be me was the important part. Not what we were going to do. It wouldn't of been that long... You wouldn't of had to marry me or some bullshit like that. I'm just fragile, and still don't know what I'm doing and you told me that was okay! How could you... I would've been fine with it by the summer... How could you?"

Everything was set up for Harriet Scavo. Her life, her career and her love life. Everyone envied her-and for a good reason. Parents are rich, the kid comes out even richer. But Harriet not only faced competition, she faced problems. It all started with one simple mistake that Nathaniel Russo did, and he had to pay for. When you're the one playing, can you shift the cards around? ____ His mouth traveled along my jaw, down the column of my neck, each kiss searing into me, marking me as his. My fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, aching for more, for everything. His hands skimmed over my sides, exploring, claiming, igniting a fire that threatened to consume us both. "Nathaniel," I breathed, his name a prayer, a plea. He paused, his forehead resting against mine, his chest rising and falling with unsteady restraint. "Tell me to stop," he whispered, his voice thick, husky. "And I will." I met his gaze, my heart pounding as I reached for him, pulling him down into another searing kiss. "Don't stop."
