Travis was able to manipulate Kennedy's affection with his words. When he talks sweet to her, its really empty words that have no feelings. An untrustworthy love is what she would call it. It's hard to learn as it's hard to move on from this guy who hurt her over and over. At the same time, it's hard for her to keep love in her heart, because it's so painful. But when she meets Keith, they start bonding over time and she realizes maybe he's what she needs. She starts to trust him without knowing exactly what's going to happen.

(sept 2020 - as you can see in the first few chapters, this story is being rewritten. It will be completely redone as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience 💕) I promised myself I would never fall in love again. Especially after what happened last time. He ruined me. He hurt me and destroyed me in ways that I never thought were possible. So, I promised myself that I would never subject myself to the pain that one feels when their love is not properly returned. But it took twelve days...that's how long it took me to fall for him. I couldn't help it, he was my cousins best friend, he already had a girlfriend, and I was probably more trouble than I was worth. But we were still drawn to each other. "Can you promise me something before we go in there?" he asked me. "That depends on what you have in mind." I joked, my fingers nervously toying with the hem of my shirt. "Just promise me that no matter what happens, you'll make it through this." I smiled and looked up from my hands. "Of course I will make it through, whatever it takes."
