Lightning McQueen - The name known across the country. You can't forget his name and he wouldn't let you if you tried. The debonair and mercilessly handsome up-and-coming rookie racer, Lightning, is aiming for the stars and not backing down. While some might say his pride and flamboyance are a hindrance to his racing he only sees them as strengths, meant to propel him to the top. But after an astonishing three-way tie at the Piston Cup race, he has to push himself to prove his worth. But things don't go according to plan. A crazy night out with his friends, an old rickety town forgotten by Hell itself, and a whole bunch of legally binding repairs stops this racer in his tracks. He must find a way to get free and back into training. He has a race to get to and a spotlight to catch - he simply WILL NOT let himself be forgotten...Not like this 'almost dust' town on Highway 66. *** This story is 'human-bent' all characters have been turned human and in order to make that possible a lot of things have been altered and some scenes changed to accommodate that. You'll also find that I added some completely new scenes - some to deepen characterization and others I added just because I like them from other movies (i.e. Cars 3). *** Obviously I own none of these characters (at least not in their car form;) and most of the plot line and dialogue, all those props go to Disney & Pixar.

Female reader as always! Doing this because I've always loved McQueen as a CHARACTER. NOT AS A CAR. Thats why I'm making him HUMAN. McQueen is a racer new to the racing scene, but his irresponsibility, cockiness, and huge ego makes it seem like he doesn't deserve the pleasure. (Y/N) has always wanted to be a racer but isn't allowed to be, and she truly deserves the honor. (Y/N) really doesn't like McQueen, but in the end he just might be the ticket to finally becoming a racer like she's always dreamed of. And who knows, maybe McQueen really isn't that bad. Cover was AI generated because I haven't been doing too well with nailing a design of my own that captures how I envision him, and this was pretty close to what I see in my head I think.

Chloe does chores and stays in her room everyday. She doesn't get to have fun like the other kids. For years she has been adopted, but also brought back. The families only wanted her for slave reasons. Chloe loves to watch the Piston Cup races and watch her favorite racer, Lightning McQueen. Once she hears that he's coming to her orphanage to adopt, she prays that he'll be the one. The one who would be her hero to save her from this prison. Her prayers come true; she's adopted by McQueen. But Mrs Nelson threatened that if Chloe ever came back, she would suffer the consequences. Will Chloe love her new life? Or will she be brought back and spend the rest of her life suffering and rotting in an orphanage?

Lightning McQueen and the gang have to work hard and find friendship and even love in the simple locals of Radiator Springs, changing its values during their stay in the small town, and becoming a true winner, and telling us that there's more to the race than just the finish line.
