The darker side of life

A story about a girl as she comes to learn that ego has ruined a lot of things in life. Apologising and admitting the mistake does not bring you down, it elevates you and you come above your ego.
Sometimes, what you see is not what it is like, perspective changes the game. Deeming yourself as the knowledgeable and forming opinion and sticking to it is harmful.
Hesitation is also what she suffered from, doing the right thing when she needed to... but she did nothing and she forgot. She forgot that time does not wait for anyone and the best way to defeat the limitations of time is to remember that there is one. Once the time is finished you are left with nothing but regret.
When she grows up and the question of future arises, she find herself meddling with her past. The darker side of life. As she comes to realise that every single thing in her life either rewarded her with experience or somewhat a lesson, she convinces herself to look at the 'brighter side of life'. So what is her brighter side of life and what was her darker side life?
