"I don't know... What if some teachers are still here?" I whispered.
"No, I overheard the principal saying that all staff is having a meeting tonight in the big hotel a few streets over." She reassured me. I looked at her in shock.
"You seem so quiet but you pay attention so much...?" I said, confused. She smiled a small smile.
"The quietest ones have the loudest minds, don't you know?" She let out a small chuckle. She slowly turned around and started walking down the hall.
And at that moment, I knew I had to follow her.
