Growing up, everyone believes that they are special. That they have some sort of redeeming quality that on one else in the world has or can replicate. That they can change the world. Mothers tell their children they they are special, and maybe they are. Maybe they were born against all odds or their family itself is inherently special. No matter the case, they truly believe that they are different.
Crystal has never thought this way, although she would like to believe that everyone had their role in society, that anyone could change the world, but she didn't. She never did. To her it was all a fairy tale, one mothers made up to make their children feel better after a hard day. But what would happen if she were to be proven wrong? What if she herself could change the world? If not only to make it a little bit brighter? Well that's what happens when one well kept secret is spilled. When her family gets a little bit bigger, along with her heart, and her mind.
