Ivan Martinez attends school at Warren High, the home of the Eagles, in the small town of Wimberly.  Yet, he is one of the best soccer goalies' in the state. He has scholarship after scholarship flooding in for him, but he already has a eye on one in particular, University of Southern California. Only one thing stands in his way, his grades. 
He finds out about Brycelyn Cooper,  the Class President, the good girl, and also the opposite of  a open book. Thinking she would help him with his academics he finds out she is also struggling in the same classes as he is. 
They find themselves in awkward study sessions with a teacher who keeps forgetting to show up.
