Akido Bergisson is a 16 year-old teenage boy living in the Beron Slums in the year 2114. To the government, he is only one of the many pawns they play in their own world. All the men have bald heads, all the women have short, brown hair. Everyone wears the same white shirt, the same white leggings/pants and have the same complections. And each and every-one of them are forced to love their Ministers- Kederin and Greyhem.

Akido is curious on what is behind the walls that close his nation- Adeni. Some say there is another nation, far beyond their wildest dreams. His best friend Mira is a runaway, and Akido and his small family choose to keep her, hiding her from the government- For it is illegal to have/house a second child.

On Corence day- The day Adeni celebrates the Corence government taking over the Pierce- Akido finds that Mira's secret living has been let out, and the government robots have killed his parents and Mira. Inprisioned in the richest area, Greensplace, Akido comes to question why he is being sentenced to death instead of jail in Beron. Akido's life is about to change- Gaining strange, new abilities of controlling electricity and the superstitious daughter of the Ministers calling him an "Alequist" leads Akido to believe that he is the one that is destined to change the world.
