Set a year after the events of Modern Warfare 3. Captain John Price, the firm leader of Task Force 141, is joined by old teammates Derek "Frost" Westbrook, Marcus Burns, William Wallcroft, Jack "Toad" Wilson, Ethan "Archer" Williams and Michael "Mac" MacMillan alongside new members to take on a new threat to the fragile peace. 
An anti-Russian extremist group known as the "Sons of the Patriots" have arisen to destroy Russia for its action in World War 3 and the only thing standing in their way is Task Force 141.
