Claire is a 21 year old woman that to others is like a mystery. She works at the Southern Diner and comes home to an empty apartment every night and on her thighs lies her deepest, darkest secret. The person she least thinks will change her opinion and way of life will be the one person she won't be able to live without, but can she push aside her fear of letting someone in and let him change her life?

This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic.
