Clare and her brother,Klaus, Faun goes to a new school because they had to move but only Clare doesn't know why.
She always has this bad dream every night. Her parent died but for some reason, she has no memories of it. What she doesn't know is that she was the reason they died. Her brother made sure she never knows that nor of what she is but he can't keep a big secret for the rest of his life.
Clare found out that the supernatural world is real and that she has a big part in there, being what no one thought could be. But she only has half of her powers and she has to get it back before a war that will cause the deaths of many comes. Her brother will help her defeat the one who has the other half of her powers. What Clare also doesn't know is the consequences of having the other half of her power.
