The rain pounded heavily against the mud and blood splattered ground as forth laid the body of a young hero, his blood spilled for the ones he loved. Other mobs gathered around their saddened expression displaying their connected grief, a grief they'd keep forever, a grief that would bring them together. There laid the boy, the dragon prince, Sora.
As heavily and as fast as he could the king sped through the forest. Sky had just gotten word of his sons whereabouts, not knowing it was too late he ran as fast as he could his coat flapped in the wind, breaking through the thick forest wall he made it to the opening. His sight instantly became blurred with tears, he bursts through the crowd looking down at the body, It's purple hair covered his left eye his torso broken and bloody, missing an arm and leg. He kneeled next to the body and saw his son's eye open "Heh....I guess I did actually become the hero you wanted me to be......." Sora's eyes closed making Sky's basically drown in his own tears he pressed his head to his sons chest and let out an earsplitting cry that managed to damage the nearby area his spikes flared up, his eyes turned fully white before calming.

His son, Sora the prince would no longer Soar amongst mortals any longer......

"Ava, now!" Virin's voice sliced through the suffocating darkness, sharp and urgent. My body moved before my mind could catch up, legs burning as I sprinted toward the van where Kyra and Priti waited, their faces pale with terror. "Run! Faster, Ava!" Priti's frantic scream tore through the night, her fists slamming the steering wheel as if sheer willpower could propel me forward. My lungs screamed for air, my legs trembled with exhaustion, but I couldn't stop-not when freedom was just ten steps away. Ten. Nine. Eight- "Ava!" His voice cut through the chaos, low and venomous, freezing me mid-stride. It wasn't a command. It was a threat-a promise of destruction. "If you don't stop right now, I'll kill everyone who dares to stand between us!" The weight of his words coiled around me like chains, choking the air from my lungs. I knew he didn't bluff. I knew what he was capable of. "Not now, Ava! Run!" Virin's desperate voice shattered my paralysis as his grip yanked me forward, dragging me the final agonizing steps to the van. We tumbled inside, slamming the doors shut. For a fleeting moment, I dared to look back. There he stood, his figure looming in the distance, chest heaving with fury. His dark eyes burned with a rage that made my stomach twist. Slowly, he raised a finger, pointing at me. "You are mine," he growled, stabbing the same finger into his chest. Over my dead body. *** Ava's life once seemed perfect-best friends, a family she adored, and a love that felt like destiny. But perfection shatters. Torin has always felt out of place in his small village. Despite the familiarity of his surroundings, he cannot shake the feeling that he doesn't belong. He longs for a place where he can truly be himself, away from the expectations of his people, a life free of the stifling weight of conformity. His dreams are filled with a sense of belonging, a vision of a life where he is accepted for who he is, not for who others expect him to be. One fateful day, while attending the annual Dragon Safe Arena, where dragons are brought to be killed for sport and fear, something extraordinary happens. A black dragon, larger and more majestic than any Torin has ever seen, enters the arena. The crowd erupts in excitement, but Torin feels an unexpected connection. The dragon's eyes lock onto his, and in that moment, he hears a voice-not in his ears, but in his mind. The dragon speaks to him, its words clear, yet impossible: "I see you, young one. You do not belong here." In a shock of realization, Torin understands the dragon's plea. No one else can hear it, no one else can understand the words-but Torin can. At that moment, everything changes. He chooses to defy the world he's always known, running away with the dragon, escaping the village that never understood him. As they journey together, seeking refuge in the wilds, they encounter other teens-four others-each of whom carries their own special gift. They, too, are misfits. One has the power to control the wind, another can manipulate shadows, a third can speak to animals, and the last can heal with a touch. The group of them, united by their unique abilities, form an unlikely family.
