"I am not in the mood to do anything other than going straight to my bed. I'm just tired of everything" She sighed heavily. Laney stepped out from her friends and while walking she noticed a group of people laughing and having a good time. Some of them looks drunk by the way they are dancing and yelling. Her eyes narrowed when she saw a girl gulp her beer straight as if she's drinking water. Laney cringed at the sight. "I think I'm gonna throw up". she thought. She looked at the girl once more and noticed two piercing emerald eyes staring at her. The woman looked dangerous and mad. "Did she see me cringe while she drunk her beer?" she asked herself. She stared at the beautiful girl who is now standing with another bottle of beer in her hand. She has a curly dark brown hair that reaches down to her waist. She wore a tight jeans with a brown leather jacket underneath is a plain white shirt which she finds sexy. Laney smiled to whatever runs in her mind. "Fuck I'm drunk" she whispered. She can't believe she's checking her out. She's about to head out when she heard the group cheering. "Errin! Please just one song!" they yelled. "Okay!" the girl Errin said raising her both hands. She looks upset and irritated. The woman took her drink with her and went infront of the piano. Before she sits, she gulped half of the bottle. "Gosh she really drinks a lot. How can someone consume that amount of liquor?" she wondered still looking at the girl. Laney is curious how the brunette sounds. "Does she even know how to play the piano?" she smiled evily. Her thoughts were disrupted when she heard soft keys playing on the background. There's something in her aura that made her heart constrict--agony and distress. Her eyes were closed, delicate fingers stroking the keys. Then Laney heard the most beautiful voice she's ever heard in her entire career. "Oh God..." she shivered.

I smiled at him but tears were starting to blur my vision together. "I hate you." His smile faltered and he looked taken back, "Not like that, Drake. I hate you because you make me cry. You're supposed to beat up the guys who make me cry, not be one of them." "But they are happy tears, right?" he clarified. I smiled and nodded my head, before gripping his shirt, pulling his body against mine. "I'll never make you cry because you're sad, understood? I'm never leaving you." I didn't respond this time, I just sat in his lap, holding his torso and he played with my hair. "I don't know if I can let you in yet Drake," I told him truthfully, the one thing I had been dreading telling him. "I know. But I'll never hurt you like the others have. I-"he cut himself off and took a deep breath. "Riley?" he moved me away from his shirt. I looked at him in the eyes and say an emotion. One I hadn't seen in a long time and one I haven't seen in his eyes before. "Can I kiss you?" __________________ Drake was the player of the school. Everyone knew his name. Riley was the nerd of the school. No one knew her name. Complete opposites but for some reason, opposites seemed to attract. Riley knew that Drake had a new girl every week, but she felt like she could change him. And maybe she could. Maybe she'd be different. *Based on a true story*
