Ground Down
This is a The 100 AU that stays rather close to the first three seasons of the series, but takes liberties with the characters, setting, and order of events, and will eventually depart from the series plot because I keep resurrecting characters, which inevitably changes the storyline. Lots of ships still sailing, I am not outwardly discriminating any, if you have favourites. I am also not going to kill (most of) your favourite characters. So, if you want a wild ride without hurling whatever device you read on at the wall, this is for you! Most ships are slow-burn, this is heavy in plot-focus (but the plot is awesome?). This can be read without having seen the series or read the books, I'll guide you through, but you may get more of the jokes if you are familiar. I'll put a general warning here, I'll likely end up discussing sensitive topics. After her 21st birthday, which marked her fourth year in the Skybox, the council made a decision. They were going to send 100 delinquents to the ground as an experiment to see whether the level of radiation was survivable or not. In doing so, they managed to sentence almost all of them to an untimely death that was almost inevitable. With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect. She will find a better version of herself. Hailey will become what she was always meant to be, a warrior.
