Out of all Sections, Level One is the Section you don't want to be living in, and Level 19 (more so called Cloud 19) was the Section everyone longed to be in. Living in Level One with her parents not in the picture, Kehlani was taken in as a baby by Micah Mahinay's parents, and both girls eventually grew up to be best friends. At age 19, Kehlani had to face the fear of what everyone at that age had to face: Level Testing. Level Testing determined what Section you would be living in your whole life and what Section your child will be living in until they turn 19. Although the world was never fully at peace, there was something that kept Kehlani sane during all the violence going on: Her singing. Her singing could never leave her and always stuck with her. Can the powerful sound of her voice somehow mend all the divisions of all Sections and bring them together into one?
