If Only It Was Just Tea

The short story I came up with is an extension, if you will, of Barbara Neely's novel "Blanche Cleans Up". Nothing in the text is copied from the book but character names. It's just inspired on it and for me, it stands as a short story by itself; even though it has some references to the book, they do not interfere directly on the story.

This will be a one part story since I have no interest in making it longer than this. But if I do get feedback, I would love to keep writing for you guys. My writing style is already defined, I would say, and you can always expect it in later projects. I do hope you like it and that it's not a waste of your time!

Blanche, a tired woman, arranges a meeting with her mother. After her kids are finally sleeping, her mother arrives with the company of an unexpected man. This situation later triggers even more unexpected events.

Escrevi esta história que é basicamente uma extensão do livro "Blanche Cleans Up" de Barbara Neely. Nada no texto é copiado do livro à exceção do nome das personagens. Apenas é inspirado no mesmo e, para mim, aguenta-se como uma short story independente; apesar de haver algumas referências ao livro, as mesmas não interferem diretamente no decorrer da ação.

Esta história vai ter apenas uma parte dado que não tenho interesse em torná-la mais longa que isto. Contudo se receber algum feedback, adorava continuar a escrever para vocês.
