"She left, Pen" she started to cry again. I pulled her into my lap and petted her hair. I mustn't cry in front of her. It would just make her cry more. I kept my head locked on the screen. It would help get my mind off of it. Just then the phone started to ring. I ran to it, gently getting Penny off of me. I picked it up and there were sirens in the back round."Hello?" I asked.
"Hide! Hide your brother and sister Megan! Bombers are coming!" My mom sounded like she was crying and panicking."But Nanna and pop aren't here yet!" I started to panic myself.
"Hun, don't wait for them. Get in the bomb shelter now!" She yelled. In the backround i heard the t.v static, meaning something was wrong. "I love you hun, i'm sorry i left you but you have to go now!" I nodded my head.
"I love you too mum, I'm sorry for being a brat earlier." I then hung up and ran.All Rights Reserved
