You believe in heroes or heroines? They're placed on pedestals and forever loved but what if you were drawn to the villain? I've learned that men don't fear swords for they fear monsters but I've also learned many fear what they don't understand. I was rescued and loved by a monster, she brought forth peace and mange to put my demons to sleep. Mortals discriminated against our love and thus I was abandoned... I hear everyone cheering on their impressions of saviors while I wallow in pity and write about the villain. Who am I to say heroes aren't needed , perhaps the world needs a hero; Yet all I need is my monster.

The wind blows past my head, I close my eyes and take a deep breath of the cool air. Looking down I can see the city and all the lights that let me know I'm not alone in the world.
