Upon returning to his old house in Boston, Ren begins to remember the secrets his parents never let him see hidden there. He finds a scarf from his father that starts attracting unwanted attention from all walks of life (read: a secret police organization specializing in a collection of "ITEMS"). Then he ends up accidentally kidnapping a girl he doesn't know (oops). While unraveling the story of the scarf and how he came into possession of it, he realizes that people are not just good or bad, and that everyone wants something.
