Discord Chabris is not a 'college' person. Before that, he wasn't a high school person, either. This, in fact, is why he was in and out of jail for over a decade. Now, at 39 years old, he realizes he has effectively wasted most of his life being a heel, and has done next to nothing to contribute to the overall well-being of society. Which he is totally fine with, don't get him wrong. But he happens to like a certain little orphan girl, and is planning on adopting her.
Too bad he is broke as a joke and barely graduated from high school.
Thank god he's got a personal history with the Dean of Canterlot Community College.
Lucky man, huh?

Tirek Cox is a troublemaker. He always has been. Living on the streets, fighting to survive, joining up with gangs, in and out of detention centers and juvie halls, struggling to provide for a brother who stabs him in the back. Angry, dark, brooding, clever. All these words describe Tirek perfectly.
Tolerant and Patient however, do not.
These two words, unfortunately, are what he needs if he is going to be able to avoid strangling his new roommate.
What a time to be alive.

Contains violence, slightly unhealthy relationship, drug and alcohol use, domestic abuse themes, slight self-harm, dubcon, and language. Might be slightly ooc depending on whom it is. NOT Equestria Girls, but a Human AU nonetheless
"I guess just spending time with some people fixes everything."
Carrying the burdens of his past was Jason Smith. Numb. Emotionless. After all those years, what remained was just a shell of a human being. Dragging his life, one day at a time, because of the promises he made to his mother.
Carrying the guilt of being the sole survivor of an accident was Raymond Holt. But, when life gave him a second chance to be alive, he accepted it with open arms. Burying the guilt deep inside, he lived his life to the fullest. He was quite the ray of sunshine.
When the two guys first met at the NYU Law School, differences occurred, but eventually, they fell for each other. But, college love is young love, and it doesn't always withstand the hardships of life. Being oblivious to what they had found with each other broke their hearts, and they walked their separate ways.
Years later, when they cross paths again, the circumstances are against them. Will they be able to overcome their differences? Will they be able to correct their mistakes and make up for the lost time? Most importantly, will they be able to move on from what transpired all those years ago? Read to find out.
A/N: I don't know shit about the law. This is everything that I learned by watching Suits and How To Get Away With Murder. Correct me wherever needed. :)
