A black wolf made her way through the white-coated forest, her paws splaying slightly to keep her from sinking into the snow as she glided silently through the trees. She didn't flinch as four more wolves appeared, falling in behind her one by one. Only a soft flick of her ear, only perceptible to the keen eyes of the wolves behind her, indicated her knowledge of their arrival. The new wolves easily matched her steady pace, though they were careful to stay behind her. After another two miles, the pack came to a halt. The black wolf's nose twitched as she smelled the air, satisfied with her findings she took a few steps forward. None of the other wolves moved as they watched her shift from wolf to human. Instead, they waited for her to give a signal before following her lead and shifting too. Three girls and two boys now stood where the five wolves had.
