It was being taken over by part-timers, people who didn't perform every week or at every pay-per-view; people that only cared about the paycheck. It had become something he didn't want to be a part of. He and his fiancee, AJ Lee, didn't plan on ever returning to the company. But shortly after leaving, everything began changing. More part-timers began returning, but more importantly, there was a revolution happening in the women's division, and Stevie Oliver was front and center. In 2018, Punk is no longer engaged.
