STORY #1 
A one eyed owl has been stalking over a family of humans. One day, one of the children gets separated and can't find his home. The owl has to chose, save the human or let it die.

STORY #2
The point of view of a young Native American girl. Both the Sauk and Fox tribes fight the whites as she watches from afar.

STORY #3
Though evil runs in the family, one little monster must save his sister Hope. The only good left.

STORY #4
Competition is tough when trying to win the Spotlight title. But when the things go too far, the dance gods have a way of setting things right.

STORY #5

He would accomplish the impossible Unfortunately, things never go as planned. Short Story 2 Things has been changing in the city ever since the new of Jack Kilver. Especially Emily's work, the company built by the woman who has moved humanity further in the future. She feels more devoted and passionate about her work. She just can't figure out why... Short Story 3 In a place where the trees block out all sunlight, there is a lonely building. Within this building, you'd find all manner of monsters and beasts. Sometimes, even monsters want to go where every one knows their name. Short Story 4 Lily lived a happy but simple life in her village, despite the war against the magical beasts of world still raging. When the war finally reaches the village, she expected her life to end with her family. She never expected a man to appear and offer her a deal. Tales Of Wonder are short stories that are tied in to a novel I've had in my head for years. They are related to the novel and each other. These stories are mainly to motivate me and to test out different writing styles. Each short story will be written in different styles. They take place in a world where magic and science combine. The first story here, I admit leaves the rules of the world and how everything works a little vague but each short story will add more and eventually the novel will tie up the magic system. Any feedback is welcomed. Of course, let me know if you want more stories.

[Short Story, a little fast pace] "What are you doing in our territory, rogue?" The man snarls at me. "M-Me no b-bring h-harm." I whimper. The man laughs bitterly at me before grabbing me by the neck harshly. "I don't know what game you're trying to play you vile creature but this whole innocent act is going to get you nowhere." I gasp when he bares his teeth at me. "Don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery." I close my eyes, ready for the pain I was about to receive but...It never came. Instead a thunderous growl was heard from behind me. "What the hell is going on here?" The scary man's eyes widen in fear. "A-Alpha? S-She's a rogue and I was just trying to- "SILENCE!" I knew it recognized that tone. He was the Alpha. "Look at me girl." The guy releases me from his tight grip. Slowly I turn around to meet the eyes of the scary Alpha. I expected him to hit me or yell but he didn't do anything of that. Although what I didn't expect was for him to whisper, "Mate." // Aurora. A girl who's been held captive for years by her abusive Alpha stumbles upon an unknown territory. Where she meets the rigid Alpha who turns out to be her mate. Will she learn to trust him? Or will she run away and never look back? #1 in Fear [No hate please, I'm not perfect]

"I-I'm sorry for waking you up. Please forgive me Alpha." She basically threw herself to her knees and bared her neck: a sign of submission. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I thought we had begun to move passed this, but I knew deep down it would take more than holding her to get through this. I walked over to her and pulled her up gently to her feet. I grasped her chin in my hand and lifted her head up to look me in the eyes. "Jasabelle, you are my Luna. You are not my maid, you are not my servant. I will never punish you...well in any way that will cause you harm." I chuckled but my wolf howled in sexual frustration, waiting for the misbehavior of our mate so he could make good on the promise. --------- Nyx has finally found his Luna. She's perfect to him. She's everything he could've dreamed she would be, but she's afraid of her own shadow. Jasabelle was petrified of everything. She knew nothing but cruelty and expected nothing less from anyone. His eyebrows furrowed as his eyes softened realising what happened. Just as quick as it came, it vanished and he was back with the icy look in his eye. The one he had when we first met. For a moment, I was afraid of him going back to his old self before dismissing that thought and focusing on my missing newborn son. Don't worry, I'm coming for you, my little bubba... I saw everyone flinched at that and Drake had this look of hurt. "I apologised Elly! Please give me a chance. We're mates after all" he pleaded. "We. Are. Not. Mates" I said angrily. "Do I smell like your mate?" I questioned knowing he had no answer for that. "You're hiding it" "Really!" I looked surprised but that made Drake angry. "Let's go for sparks then" he tried to grabbed my hand but Josh pushed me behind him. "Are you trying to touch someone else's mate, Alpha?" Josh asked. "Josh!" Others shouted and Drake growled loudly, his eyes turning black. And he looked at me with those eyes. "Just remember Elly! I asked you nicely" with that he turned and stormed out of the library, others following him behind. ________________________________________ Elly was a quiet and smart girl who had a promising future as a doctor. Her mother being a famous and respected doctor in the werewolf society she had only one dream and it was to become a doctor like her mom. Being a Luna was something she never wanted and she didn't expect her mate to be the future Alpha of her pack, her enemy. What else she could do other than hiding when she knew he was not going to let her go no matter what. The future Alpha Drake waited his whole life for his mate and it only made him angry when he figured out that his mate was hiding from him. But he wasn't going to give up and he was already loosing control because of Elly. He thought finding his mate would put him out of his misery or was he wrong?

It's a sign of claiming and-" her teeth grazed the spot lightly, not hard enough to break the skin, but he felt a mixture of pleasure and pain shoot through his body and he drew in a sharp breath, his head tilting back automatically as he offered her better access to the spot. "It shows that you belong to your mate. Doesn't it? Like I belong to you?" "Yes." He murmured, gripping her more tightly, so close to the edge he knew he'd lose control at any moment. He only hoped he could bring her to the peak of pleasure again first. He'd thought she was close. "Nova." He knew his voice sounded desperate. "Can I mark you, Alpha?" ---------------------------------- When Nova stumbles into pack lands and is captured by the Blazing Moon pack she knows that she has to escape. She makes a daring escape only to be tracked down by their Alpha. But their meeting isn't at all what either or them expected. Can he convince her to stay? The second story in The Fight or Flight Series. Calia is now living with Drake, and she goes back to her high school. She meets new friends and enemies, and some people she just can't get out of her head. She hasn't been back to Tanyela in a while, and her friends come for her. She thinks about her mother and her lost sibling, and how she'll get to them. Will she ever meet them, or is there something she doesn't know? Will she stay in the human world or in Tanyela? Will she find the one she truly loves? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Second story, if you haven't read Love, War, and Flight yet, I suggest it, not because of reads but because some things won't make sense unless you read it. Yes, this is my shortest story, but it's short quality that doesn't fall apart in confusion. Finished third wave of editing, so it should be done! :D
