Just a Few Dreams

There was a time,
when I was a kid,
where I thought anything was possible,
where I thought that my dreams could come true.

There was a time,
when I thought I could do anything.
I was told by someone that loved,
The truth that I wasn't ready to face at such a young age.

Then as I got older, with each second that passed,
The more I realised how true his words were,
I also realised,
That those were just a few dreams,
out of my reach.
