Thorin Oakenshield had a daughter. However, he knew not of her. She was taken from Erebor before Smaug came. Gandalf the Grey gave her to a Hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins. There she stayed for the next years, unaware of her lineage. Then, one day, a Company of Dwarves come into her and her father's lives.

A long time after a far moons passed, The Kingdom of Erebor in the Lonely Mountain was taken from the dwarves by the evil fire breathing dragon known as, Smaug the Terrible. Later on in the years, the young Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, and his niece, Saffron Baggins, were unexpectedly visited by the Wizard known as, Gandalf the Grey. The Wizard had brought twelve homeless Dwarves, led by their former king Thorin Oakenshield to the Hobbit Hole owned by the dearest Baggins. Gandalf had decided to vanquish Smaug and recover Erebor and their treasure hold of Gold. Saffron, a young woman--in the eyes of most-- and her uncle hesitate in the thought of joining the company in the cause of past memories with Saffron's parents. They accept the invitation to the dangerous lands of Middle-Earth, despite the evil that had been growing stronger every following day.
