When she meets Ron, she hates him on sight. He's another military subordinate. Another reminder of what hurt her and left her behind.
He sees a stubborn femme with the heart of a warrior and eyes like the purest core on Cybertron. Fire lives behind her rage, and she greets death like she's already kissed it once and spit it back out.

But somewhere in the wreckage of their malice, something begins to ignite.

She makes him feel powerless.
He makes her feel like she could burn the grief out of her system and still survive it.
