The Requisite is about a group of diverse teenagers trying to get through high school. These group of kids live in a small, eerie town located in Hastings, Nebraska. In this town, everything seems to go awry. With a dead girls mystery luring over these struggling adolescents, and teenage angst tempting all of them, the days are getting harder for these group of teens to cope.

Disclaimer: this story is lightly based off of Thirteen Reasons Why, Riverdale, and Twin Peaks. Although, I didn't care much for Thirteen Reasons Why (read the book and watched the series) I thought it was okay; I like Riverdale, and I'm considering watching Twin Peaks.

She dealt with the loss of her father and the remarriage she had to go through with an abusive stepfather who drank too much, she had to suffer from anxiety, depression, and ptsd. At first it was a project in middle school that me and four other friends decided to do because we all loved writing and we were learning about the world and all the mess that it was we were learning about all the bad before we got to the good. And we wanted to write about it. I had gotten abused and wrote the main thing happening in the beginning. But as I was writing over the years it took a change. I experienced loss and abuse and I felt like the whole world was crumbling around me and my mind was telling me I was alone. I started to write my story tweaked enough to where no one could tell. I put in things that wouldn't happen in real life but made a good story but the base of it was me. It doesn't have a happy ending but it has a meaning to me. I call it my brain vomit and my novel baby. It isn't perfect but neither am I. Hope has always expected the worst when it comes to people. Although who could blame her? Since she was about the age of five Hope and her brother Gavin have been in foster care. They never knew their father. Before they were born he had left their mother to be a teen mom on her own. As for their mother to them, she was the most wonderful and caring person they knew. To everyone else she was A depressed mother that had spent more time on drugs than off of them. She cared about her kids she really did, she just didn't know how to handle them. Hope has always been there for her little brother. She hides all of her problems and focuses on her twin brother making sure that he is always happy and dosent know about her problems, because honestly at this rate shes turning into their mom.
